Nah I actively tell people to avoid them. They're not as good as people proclaim and a few inches off the shins will result in permanent lower back injury. The muscles gains are minuscule nobody can tell the difference between a heavy deadlifter and a light deadlifter.
Same reason stickmen love the leg press - the mechanics of the exercise allows you to move a lot of weight even when your form is garbage, stroking their egos. It's also the safest of the big lifts to fail.
theres no reason deadlift should be in your program unless you're competing. Its useless and only fries your recovery. Better to train squat and accessories (RDLS/Good mornings). 100% of the time your squat and deadlift will be in sync.
This exercise was fun for awhile I got to 405 and felt like that was enough. Never touched deadlift since. Didn't really notice any aesthetic gains from it so I stopped doing it. Seems like a really compromising lift in general, and really taxes the rest of your body leaving accessories and isometrics to suffer. Sorry for the long post bros. Hope it helped.
>bent arms >lockout at crotch >wide grip >shoulders too much forward >bar is way too thick to grip it like that >comically large plates
not even to mention the muscle activations
The muscle gains from deadlift are hard to describe. You can't pinpoint any particular muscle group that's targeted in a superior way. It just overall makes you look beast mode. Autists can't see the forest for the trees, so they reject the deadlift because they can hit any given muscle better with another exercise. They miss out on the "filling out" effect that the deadlift produces. It's almost like it hits the muscles between the muscles.
i look like that
What crayons you using? Mine can't keep on my skin.
incels who cant lift 1 plate will be in here with all their "sources" saying its a dangerous lift.
Just remember if you think the deadlift is dangerous, you're necessarily DYEL.
Okay, but you're clearly a fat virgin spamming demo threads.
Half of these muscles don’t do anything with DLs. Why are pecs there?
yeah that happens with a lot of people. Try dumbbell deadlifts instead and you might feel it in your chest more
flexors? PECS? bro I don't feel any of these, am I doing something wrong?
Tear your pec and then try deadlifting. See how it goes.
For me, it's gotta be the trap bar deadlift.
This is the true dyel filter, plenty of dyels deadlift but you’d be hard pressed to find someone who looks like shit doing a zercher deadlift
>The end goal of zercher deadlifts
tf is the point of holding it in your arms like that?
I feel a need to get good at these, anything I need to know to not break my back?
Just make sure to brace a fuckton
Upgrade to zercher cleans
Wrong. I do them and I look like shit.
seems the opposite in my gym, every other dyel is ego lifting deadlifts with wide stances or destroying their back like pic related
nothing wrong with diddlys but every other retard does them wrong

Do you just go up to random people and tell them to avoid deadlifting?
When your as big as me, they ask for it.
umm hello? based department?
I literally only see dyels dead lift. Why do they always obsess over that lift?

you don't see SwoleShack people at all
Fuck, Benedikt Magnusson amlnd Andy Bolton those fucking dyels. Those little shits.
