>want to keep muscle
fasting+weightlifting
>want to lose weight the fastest
fasting+walking
When you are cutting hard/fasting you will be super low energy and feel like a bitch/weak.
I would do weightlifting+fasting on off/non training days so you can have some food as energy before you train.
If I wanted to do it again I would do omad with training to keep it more reasonable.
From my experiment with a proper heart rate monitor (as opposed to igoy watch), both lifting and walking are phase 2 exercise (60-70% heart rate max) and therefore both burn 25% of total calories as fat. HIIT burns more total calories but a lower proportion of fat (13-15%). Both lifting and LISS burn comparable total calories
you can easily walk 6-15 miles a day being untrained and unfed with little to no need for recovery even consecutive days if you want to. That's way more than you could either run or lift without breaking something. You're a walking/hiking machine more than anything else unfortunately you're highly efficient at it.

You’ve never actually walked a long distance have you
I used to walk 10 kilometers back from my school everyday as a teenager
-t third worlder
After a long sedentary period due to injury I walked 10 miles and was sore for a few days, mainly in the glutes and muscle between the foot and shin
>long sedentary period
That's the keyword bud, 10-15km is easily doable, just remember to stretch if you haven't done any significant walking for a while.
You can do 10km walk easily but even 1km jogging or running is a whole different story
But that’s what they said. They said an untrained (sedentary) person can walk 15 miles a day with no adverse effects. That’s simply not true
Anon stretching does not count as "training"
I however will agree that if you're obese or heavier, walking can be difficult but if you're normal or below normal BMI, you can absolutely walk indefinitely (as long as you get enough energy and water)
I never mentioned stretching at all?
It is true. Yes, you might get blisters after day one, so it'd make walking hurt a little, but it wouldn't slow you down, and within a week they'd harden, you'd get some calluses, and you'd be fine indefinitely.
what would you consider a long distance? I routinely walk 8 miles a day. I've ran marathons before but I've never walked more than 17 or 18 miles in a day hiking I'm sure I could though but you're always hiking as slow as your most unfit companion.
buying groceries with a full stomach

Hide your food in random locations and try to forget about it until it spoils. You will lose calories left and right. By the time you find them, you will have to throw out the spoiled food
I lost alot of weight when I started freediving..
shit will have you thin as a paper sheet
ofcourse not everyone lives near bodies of water or the ocean, but if you can find a team that practices it in a pool I'd give it a try
another con is that you will need some $$ for gear
