Whiskey has no carbs. Bourbon is nice if you want something sweet lots of them have a caramel tint to them. Irish or scotch or blended if you just want to drink whiskey. Personally I haven’t found the taste pallet for scotch.
Wine has health benefits but has sugar and carbs. There are also different wines for different meals according to wine-o’s.
Beer is kind of empty calories. If you’re going to drink anything unironically drink those lemonade trulys

I drank mostly wine when I was younger, but whiskey just gives you so much taste variety for drinking in moderation. You can really sit there and appreciate a small shot glass for an hour. I was actually considering quitting all alcohol because I've had some problems with it in the past, but I find that I'm able to be really moderate with whiskey because I can't handle a lot of it without feeling unwell, but I can sit there and sip a bit at a time for hours without even getting drunk or buzzed.

This. There's a lot of broscience when it comes to clear spirits vs brown; that's probably just personal taste. If you drink either one neat or with seltzer water it's the best way you can consume alcohol.

Beer is appalling for you, wine's supposed health benefits is alky cope. It might have antioxidants, but so does fruit. It's like saying beer is mostly water and thus good for you.

Why add seltzer water? Is it ok to add it to whisky?
Adding seltzer would ruin mezcal but for everything else including whiskey, it just adds volume, ie takes longer to drink which is good for moderating your intake in social environments.
Taste-wise, its personal preference. Personally adding a small amount of water to whiskey opens up the flavor really nicely.

The studies that made people think wine was good for them were by association, not causation. Healthy people happened to drink more wine in those studies, it wasn't the wine keeping them healthy.
If you can go without alcohol at all, do that. It's literal poison. Otherwise, keep it to a minimum, and don't drink everyday alky.
Alcohol itself doesn't kill gains, it's the things it leads to that kill gains. Usually after drinking people will skip gym and eat a load of shitty takeout, and that's what kills gains not the booze. If you still eat right and train you'll be fine

Exactly what I am thinking too. Sure it inhibits protein synthesis and suppresses testosterone production temporarily but it's so insignificant as long as you get diet and sleep right.

Whisky. Stopped because it stopped affecting me much after I got ligma. Just buy a nice bottle now and then.

Tonic water has a ton of calories. I'd drink nothing but tonic water if I could because I love that quinine taste.
Beer is the worst, but it all has alcohol so none of it is acceptable if you're serious. You should not be drinking once a week.
your brain REQUIRES a forced separation from sobriety and the inevitable return to sober perspective in order to maintain sanity, better ways to achieve it though obviously. your brain spends 4-5 hrs a night doing this to itself as a built in mandatory function.
Red wine if you absolutely must. that said i'd rather be hung over for a week after eating 700mg of benedryll than be really hung over for 1 morning after alot of red wine. idk how they did it back in greece but there mustve been some technique.

I'll do double whiskey with ice with a nice dinner but other than that I've cut way back on drinking. If I'm partying with friends I prefer smoking some weed
