    >wish it would lose faster
I’ve done fasts and couldn’t lose a pound a day, besides water weight!
How the hell are you losing weight that fast?

      >How the hell are you losing weight that fast?
one pound per day is pretty standard for multi day fasting. At my heaviest I was eating two meals per week. I lost about 50 lbs in 50 days. Now that I'm closer to my goal weight I'm doing 48 hour fasts. I'm averaging half a pound of weight loss per day.
      >starting weight: ~260 lbs
      >current weight: 202.8 lbs
      >goal weight: 185 lbs

Everybody is different but I would assume so.At the start of any multi day fast you'll notice a drop of 1.5-3 lbs per day for the first day or two while you deplete water and glycogen stores. once you enter fasting induced ketosis you should be burning about 1 pound a day.

realize that 1lb per day of fat is a 3500 calorie deficit daily. so unless you are burning 3500 cals per day and eating nothing - you're only gonna lose water and glycogen the first few days and not much else, proportionally little fat and you'll rebound like hell once you start eating again.

          >realize that 1lb per day of fat is a 3500 calorie deficit daily. so unless you are burning 3500 cals per day and eating nothing - you're only gonna lose water and glycogen the first few days and not much else
If OP has been losing weight for more than a day or two and still losing a pound per day then this comment can be discarded.

1lb of fat is 3500 cals and that is a fact. if all OP cares about is "losing weight" whether it's fat, water, glycogen or muscle... then very well, carry on. enjoy looking like a skeleton wearing an elephants skin when you're done.

You're contradicting yourself. By your own argument my TDEE is currently 3500 cals / day since after weeks and weeks of fasting I was still losing on average 1 lb/day. Yet somehow at the end of this I'm going to have a TDEE of 500Kcals and gain it all back lol. Either my Metabolism must be ramped up into overdrive while fasting or there's more to fat loss than pretending like the human body is a bomb colorimeter. Or if you trying to suggest that after losing almost 60 lbs I'm still only losing water weight and glycogen then you have more in common with the fat acceptance types who claim to just be holding water weight and that they're not actually fat.

You are claiming that you ate literally nothing for over a month?

No, I said in an earlier response to OP that I lost 50 lbs in 50 days eating two meals per week. Currently eating 3-4 meals per week (48 hour fasts) and my weight loss has slowed to 0.5lbs per day. The ratio is the same. My whole point is 1 lb of weight loss / day is not unrealistic if you are going to do multi day fasting. Of course the numbers will be skewed at the start though as there is a huge flush of water and glycogen falling off.

It is unrealistic, you need a DEFICIT of 3500 calories every day to achieve that. Even losing 0.5 lbs per day would be 1750 deficit.

also, have fun with your ruined hormones and destroyed metabolism, and rebound weight gain that'll put you at a higher bodyfat percentage than when you even started because you have no more muscle and a new TDEE of 500 cals

You'd have to eat literally nothing and have a hard workout to burn 1lb a day. Or I suppose be horrendously fat.

OP just wants to crash diet and fuck his shit up at all costs, might as well add ozempic to the mix and start taking laxatives too. if he shits out his own organs that's also lbs off the scale which is all he cares about

No you're not that fat dude. The fatter you are, the easier it is. I was 5 ft 11 300+ and could lose a pound a day but it got way harder around 215. It's probably unhealthy to go from 220 to 170 too fast

Was 196 lbs on friday, 199 lbs on sunday, and 195 today. Think my true weight is 196-197.

I weight 2011-2012 last december 2022 and having lost about 15 pounds, next goal is to go to 185 lbs.

Unless u t truly obese no need to lose rly fast . Its healthier to lose slow while eating the correct amount of protein and liftinf
