When did you realize most lean people dont actually count calories.
Most lean guys just do a combo of
1. fasting
2. eating fruit instead of processed sweets
3. not eating anywhere near as much protein as the recommendations say you should because it keeps their total calorie intake down (worrying about protein intake causes you to eat much more calories)
4. drinking low calorie energy drinks
If you’re normally lean there’s no need to count. But some people have shit appetites and are always eating so they count to not become a lardass.
I dont think theres such thing as "normally lean" unless the person is a legitimate skele
Every muscular and lean guy I know was fat as a kid and got into the whole lifting/cutting down to be lean thing due to being a fat kid and getting bullied for being a fat loser
that's that's all bullshit, you're just gay and retarded
I’m a naturally lean individual. My body digests optimally for some reason. I know this because I have two brothers the same age and we all at the same diet our entire lives. Our weights are significantly different.
I think of it like getting gas, counting your mileage accurately for every trip is autistic, but having a general idea of how much your car needs to go to certain places definitely helps
If u wanna optimize muscle gain/fat loss counting calories is crucial
If u are a dyel or a fattie who just wants to get toned, you are right op
Nah I think that "optimizing" shit is cope.
BBer pro at my gym, he says he only counts calories for 8 weeks or so before a competition, other than that he doesn't count in off-season at all.
Yeah always a good idea to listen to mediocre roidfags anon
Everybody should count calories for like two weeks so you get the general feel of what 1000 calories looks like. I'm bulking on 3200-3400 and haven't been counting for a long time in the end what does it matter if i eat 200 less one day
When I discovered /fast/
Autists are smart.
Calorie counting is 100% NPC retardation. They do what they're trained to do like dogs.
This thread and the negative opinion towards calorie counting shows once again fit is full of fatties and dyels
I don't have to "count" calories because I only eat what I cook, I never snack, my meal count is stable (when I maintain) and I keep my meals simple with the same base ingredients and similar amounts. If I want to gain or lose weight I can very easily just change one variable, be that overall serving size or amount of carbs or fat, number of meals, add in a shake or whatever. If you don't snack, don't eat out, don't drink a lot of your calories and you don't pig out one day or skip meals the other day there's really not all that much to keep track of. If I do skip a meal I know I can add a bit more on another meal, if I had a meal that is a little more calorie dense than usual (added cheese or whatever) then I know I'll eat a little less on my next meal.
>Anyone who puts more effort in than me is autistic
Fasting is autistic
they dont count calories because they already mastered CICO
Most skinny people I know do count calories in a way they'll say "oh I just ate a cookie gotta run 30 minutes to burn it off" and then actually do it
Is it autistic to vaguely calorie count?
like I know I need to eat ~2000 to maintain my weight so i try to take into account what I eat, i just never whip out my phone to calculate it exactly so i'm usually around that 1800-2200 zone which is fine
No, but it is autistic of you to worry about if it is autistic.
no this is what high iq people do after counting calories for years and realizing its too much autistic work and they can more or less know how much food they should eat
don't care
still counting
the real strategy is to eat exclusively meat for 30ish days at a time
i've never counted calories or tracked my macros, when I want to gain weight I just eat more than I feel is necessary, when I want to lose weight I eat less, it's entirely intuitive.
I work a varying physical job so tracking how much I burn in a day is a pain in the ass anyway.
Looking nice, you do keto when losing weight?
no, I always eat plenty of carbs, no idea about the exact number though.
working out is miserable if you don't eat any.
Great physique, friend. What do you do for abs? I know physical jobs work them a bit but not nearly enough.
jack knife situps, planks, mountain climbers, bicycle crunches, simple stuff like that, not even that frequently.
I currently simply count calories occasionaly, im a fatass who tries to lose weight, lost 8kg already, its just a bit easier to count rather than guess for the sake of losing weight
I eat junk food all day and I'm jacked and good looking.
I've been calorie counting for over a year.
I think doing it for this duration is a symptom of mental illness.
I've been trying for months to stop calorie counting.
I stopped recently. I'm happy about that.
I was able to stop by doing this:
>carnivore for two weeks
>basically reset perception of hunger and portion sizes
>now can eat "normal" food without overindulging
Turns out if I just stick to my hunger signals and don't wantonly snack, I'll naturally eat at a deficit or maintenance. Turns out there's no need to count calories if I'm just responsible around food. That's the catch though; it's hard to be responsible around food.
The calorie counting was just a crutch for my lacking personal responsibility
>Most lean guys just do a combo of
>fasting
Yes, from 16:8 to OMAD, though even 14:10 is good.
>2. eating fruit instead of processed sweets
Yeah, works great. If your sugar craving are insurmountable, just eat some berries , an apple, a peach, whatever.
>3. not eating anywhere near as much protein as the recommendations say you should because it keeps their total calorie intake down (worrying about protein intake causes you to eat much more calories)
Nah, I eat plenty of protein, mainly from pork, beef, and liver.
>4. drinking low calorie energy drinks
No fucking way. Coffee every once in a while or green tea, which I like more, though you shouldn't drink it close to your main meals.
t. 8-10% bf all year round
