Cortisol

Can someone explain cortisol to me? I'm trying to lose weight and apparently CICO isn't enough if your calories in is too high.

Forgot to mention: I've been offsetting a maintain diet with a lot of cardio to still lose weight and I think maybe its not enough due to cortisol levels.

    >Calories In Calories Out, a method that simply involves eating fewer calories than you burn, "apparently" doesn't work if you eat too many calories
    Shocking.
SwoleShack is truly the most retarded board.

      nagger.
      >1800 calories burned through daily body function +4-500 calories of intense cardio/exercise
      >1800 calories of food
      >500 calorie deficit
      >still losing weight super slowly apparently due to cortisol

        >still losing weight super slowly apparently due to cortisol
how much have you lost? rough math is: >burn 1lb of fat = 3500 cals deficit
at your deficit, you lose 1lb/week. have you lost more / less?

plus you should always underestimate your TDEE and overestimate your calorie intake. it's very easy to be burning less than you think in 1 day, and be taking in more than you think for a variety of reasons. especially if it's not working.

          >be taking in more than you think for a variety of reasons
Name them. All problems with caloric content measurements today result in result in overestimating nutritional value, not under. Even bomb calorimetry will result in overestimation I believe.

Racism is a sure sign of a simple mind. One that must rely on weak heuristics due to the inability to perform higher level evaluations. And sure enough, you’re retarded. The question is fucking stupid. Of course if you burn more calories than you consume you’ll lose fat. Nothing in the world defeats thermodynamics much less fucking cortisol. Given you’re retarded, I’m sure the reason is you fucking up simple counting/math. But let’s say that’s not it in case anyone else is reading. The problem is
        >I've been offsetting a maintain diet with a lot of cardio
Calculators are just estimates. In order to apply to the most amount of people without having to ask a hundred questions people probably wouldn’t even know the answer to, they have to allow a lot of error. You have no idea what your true tdee is. Even if you did, it can change very quickly specially if you’re losing weight. Same problem with how many calories you think you’re burning through exercise. So if you insist on eating at maintenance, it’s quiet possible you’re really only 100-200 calories under maintenance. At this rate, it can take literally weeks to lose a single pound. Coupled with natural fluctuations, you wouldn’t even be sure you lost it. Cortisol has ZERO to do with this. Lost of different factors can affect how thoroughly your body digests food or how it decides to store or discard, but not a single one of them makes more energy out of thin air.

You're a retard and peak dunning kruger. Please let me know when you learn about cortisol's estrogenic, anti-thyroid, and anti-metabolic effects. Until then, never talk about muh CICO again.

Please, tell me how a single one of those creates more energy out of the same food. Read the last line of my post again and do it slowly this time you inbred mongoloid. I suspect your mental handicaps would still prevent you from understanding anything though, so I’ll give you an example of the difference you can’t understand. A lot of heavy drinkers don’t actually gain much weight because their body has adapted to quickly process alcohol and essentially wastes most of its caloric content. There’s not a single person in the world though that get 400 calories from a beer can labeled 80.

So you have recorded yourself eating 1500kcal a day and you still gain weight? How come I don't believe you? Especially when your first idea of a thread image is a syrup cocktail.

From my own experience, cortisol will help lose weight if anything. Decreased appetite, increased heartrate == less calories in, more calories burned.
