Mogs in what way? It uses less lower back, glutes and hamstrings - which is what you want to train with the squat anyways
Doing front squats mainly will get you huge quads out of proportion >Olympic lifts
If you care about that
>getting stronger isn't useful for olympic lifts
ok kiddo
Olympic lifters train high bar back squats too so what's your point
>olympic

P.s. the movie:
I bet your diet is as atrocious as your out of the gym routine and your psyche is just a hormonally deranged with imaginary comparmentalized copes.
When I do front squats I feel great but I end up missing the hamstring engagement of back squats. When I do back squats I end up missing the core and quad activation of front squats. You just gotta do em both.
Whatever goes first is done for strength, whatever goes second is done for hypertrophy and at a lower weight than you'd normally do since the previous exercise will have exhausted a lot of the support muscles already
Basically this but I do Deadlifts on Pull day and on legs I'd do
2-3x3-5 Back squats (hi or low, your preference)
4x8-12 front at lightweight atg pause at bottom

Yeah that's fine too, I personally don't like doing 2 squats in a row so I prefer to mix it with deadlift instead. Just feels better for me
I do the variation on the other days, so if I do back squat on monday then I can do the front squat on thursday

Yeah, I mean personally if I'm deadlifting and squatting in the same day I'd probably do hi-bar or something like a zercher or jefferson squat but some people like to really hammer the lower back.

and you do nothin else for legs?
I usually do 5sets of backsquat for whatever rep I can do with my workin weight (130kg) for 6 currently, If I can push out 7 reps I increase the weight so basically strength range
then 3-4sets of Bulgarian halfsquat
thats for quads basically

Oh no, I do more stuff. Anything from Bulgarians to Hamstring extensions to lunges or courtsey squats.

Ive just heard about that, looks fun. how does it feel? what benefits? can you do it with a barbell, or just a really loaded dumbbell?

>How does it feel
Kind of like a cross between a lunge and a bulgarian. Great for stabilization and athleticism.
I personally use a barbell but you could do a dumbell in each hand either at your waist or on your shoulders.

the demonstration video Ive found used a dumbbell in a goblet position, with barbell where do you put it? back, or front position?

If using a barbell 100% keep it on the back or you're going to only be working your front leg and not the back leg.
I'd probably go with lowbar for stability but in theory highbar would also be fine.

thanks, I'll try it out on sunday. I dont have access to machines and my main problem is I get so fuckin tired from the heavy squats and bulgarians that I have no strength to do any more quad work even tho I know they could probably handle it, so I know I leave gains on the table
some shit like leg extensions or legpress would be pretty cool for this, but oh well.
In terms of strength and activation, is there a meaningful benefit to doing front squats over zercher squats? I love zercher squats but hate front squats.
Better adaptation for Olympic lifts and more quad activation but with the Zercher you get better core and back activation and more carry over to real world scenarios.
Nice thank you, I'll just make sure to do some leg press or leg extensions afterwards.
It's counter intuitive but the back squat/FS both have higher back activation than the Zercher because the moment arm is significantly shorter in the Zercher. It does carry over better when you're carrying things in a really disadvantaged position though, but I would say you should just not carry things in a disadvantaged position to begin with, it's great for Strongman but the average dude should stick with front squats and if you can't do the mobility you should be culled.
>doing both mogs doing just one and is actually useful for olympic lifts

>is useful for useless lifts
>useless lifts
what lifts aren’t useless? You’re telling me you need to squat with a heavy object on your back outside of the gym?
Yes, you never carried a fridge bro?
no because I’m not a Mexican
Anyways, all lifts are useful even if you don't perform them outside of the gym
Making your body stronger will prevent future breakdown and lumbago
If you're some cuck office worker, nothing you do in the gym is relevant to your daily life.

>completely fucks your wrists
nothing personnel kid
well there are zombie squats if you're a wristlet
>same benefits as front squats
>billion times comfier
>zero wrist, elbow, and shoulder pain
>Not fucking up your joints for 0 benefits
Get a load of this gay
this
I only like exercises that causes me brutal physical pain
thats how I know theyre workin
you aint a pussy made bitch right?

you might be onto something here.
what set/rep ranges are we talkin about? exactly
Not him but here's an easy example
Start with
>Deadlift 2-3 sets of 3 to 5 reps
Next do
>Squat 4 sets 6-10 reps
Basically this but I do Deadlifts on Pull day and on legs I'd do
2-3x3-5 Back squats (hi or low, your preference)
4x8-12 front at lightweight atg pause at bottom

The squat plug posts write themselves.
I love these but the only cons is that core will often be the limiting factor.
*mogs everything you've ever done*

Doing them on a slant board blows my VMO up and makes my knees feel better
do both retard.
Unless you are the best of the best and take a shit load of gear, you should do both front and back squats,
