There's no evidence that collagen is any more beneficial than an isocaloric equivalent dose of whey protein. The most cited studies showing "efficacy" of collagen / gelatin compare it to fucking dextrose solutions.
1 tbs of gelatin is 9 grams of protein
collagen is gelatin, the two are interchangeable
boiling bones is gross and tastes like shit, straight gelatin is tasteless.
4lbs of gelatin or 181 servings of 9g of protein is $40, compare that to collagen peptides.
