At what point in your fitness journey did you realize that strength training was a highly fatiguing meme and that lower weight isolations were much funnier to do and enjoyable?

When I realized that callisthenics were the superior method of training
When I realized I don't want to spend the rest of my life chugging down protein shakes every day.
This. Fallen in love with calisthenics and running. I don't even look like small because I'm naturally stocky and have naturally larger and stronger than average muscles.
I mix calisthenics and weights and some shirt sprints. Works like a charm on my body. I cannot wait to see what progress I will make in 5-6 months
Weights are good for delts and upper back. OHP and sitting heavy rows are good. Legs too I guess, but I feel my legs look thick and nice just from running and pistol squats. It's probably my genes though, always had thick as fuck boulder thighs.
nights laying in bed with insomnia from overloading my nervous system
I prefer higher reps, but still love compounds. I realized "strength" was a meme when I realized that I have no reason to peak my strength in cycles. I don't compete, so I can enjoy the benefits of eternal off-season training.
the only point of training is so you can hit things harder and faster and get hit harder and faster
bump
The only real sports are track and martial arts.
Let me guess, you got stuck at a 3plate deadlift and decided that its better than you go cheat curl the 25s?
That sounds like some very specific projection, you speak from experience?
No but if it was me, I'd probably be less fat and women would actually want to fuck me.
It turns out pulling 550 doesn't really matter if you do it through dirty bulking and break-up angst.
I thought that when I started and when I realized after four years I had no achievements outside an okay physique I started taking strength training seriously since getting strong is fun
When I realized sports are about speed and reflexes, not max strength.
>funnier to do and enjoyable
I go to the gym to flagellate myself.
Other way around. I realized that I can never be satisfactorily aesthetic so I would rather autistically make number go up until I die.

Aw come on anon, that's not very Sagittarius of you.
I'd take the isolation pill if there was a suitable chest isolation exercise, but basically its just bench and flys
When I was putting up crazy weight and yet I still looked like shit. Switched to more volume and exercise variety and haven't looked back
When I started switching to using machines for my workouts.
