For example, disregarding any training on fights any of us might have, does it mean that I, a natty with a little bit of muscle who can 1/2/3/4 for some reps, would beat the shit out of these guys? I don't get it. They obviously look strong, but then they can't lift any decent weights on anything...

For instance you've got a guy like Mark Bell who is in the top 1% of strength, and he's significantly smaller than Ronnie Coleman in his prime, who is probably the biggest guy to ever lift but also much weaker

No, there aren't. Nobody actually big is benching 1pl8 for anything other than a warmup/volume oriented pump set. If you look at how actual bodybuilders train a lot of them don't lift heavy week-in and week-out but in bulking phases especially they will. A lot of bodybuilders are better at lifting for reps than even very good powerlifters.

Have you ever gone to a commercial gym? Literally 90% of people with roided physiques: bench 1 plate (or at max 1.5 plate), row 1 plate, curl light weight etc. When you roid you absolutely doesn't need anything other than volume and pump to get huge.
They might be on roids but they're not actually big. Even then they're not actually weak, they just use light weights for their volume. Most of them will be able to bench close to 3pl8
You're dumb as fuck, my bench warm up is 285x12, my working set is 315, peak at 355x3 then work my way back down to 285. All the roiders I know are doing heavier weights, my rdls are 495x8 ffs
You gain no hypertrophy from doing your 1RM every session, 1pl8 for 20 will give them a better pump/hypertrophy. If you actually asked them what their 1RM is tho i guarantee it’d be 3pl8.

Candito, for example, is NATTY and repped 4 plates deadlift like over 20 times even though he doesnt train deadlift for volume ever

Also good for Candito but there are a lot of people who can do that. My PR with 190kg is 14 and with 200kg is 12 and I'm just some guy.

Bodybuilders are super weak because they just lift weights in low volume so they get muscle hypertrophy but without the strength. I’m 5’8 and I bench 140 pounds and I could easily beat up any “pro” bodybuilder in a fight. Not only am I stronger pound for pound, but I’m also much faster and more flexible and mobile. So keep ego lifting and flexing in the mirror. I’ll just smile, because I know that the girls know who’s really the stronger

Yes, always assume that the weight someone is lifting is their max, and that they haven't already exhausted their muscles.
Good bodybuilders are weak, but not because bodybuilding makes you weak. It's because not having the neural component for strength makes you a good bodybuilder.
You don't need to lift big weights, when you can go to failure with low weight, recover quickly and go to failure again.
In comparison, a neurologically strong person will tax himself with big weights, recover slowly and miss out on 2-3 training sessions due to this. You'll never get bodybuilder levels of swole if you have to squat 600lbs for sets of 8 to get proper muscle growth.

Elite bodybuilders are usually slightly weaker than elite powerlifters, but still stronger than everyone else.
Example, Tom Platz squatted 525 lbs for 23 reps, but never squatted over 800 lbs. So Tom Platz is weaker than elite powerlifters.

A significant percentage of the muscle mass in steroid users are excess water, glycogen and non contractile elements of muscle. They have a lot of excess fluff in the muscle that makes the muscle size out of proportion to the strength.
If they go cold turkey off the steroids, they will quickly loose this excess fluff within weeks, while largely maintaining strength as the muscle fibers are still there.
Bodybuilders lower doses in the week or two leading up to the competition to reduce this muscle bloat to make their muscles look harder and denser.
