Had to hold onto weights cuz they were going to literally crush me otherwise and wait for a cute gym worker to help me out of there. Still resisted for quite a long while to get help. Its amazing what a human body is capable of doing when it calls for all its strength even at a point of total exhaustion.

I'ma keep it real with you. I have only ever spotted rando dudes at my gym who asked, or women I was currently sleeping with that I mistakenly brought to the gym.

The only lift for which you could make an argument for spotting is bench and you can just dump the weight to the side if you fail

on bench yeah. not for squats if you just learn to do proper highbar squats. look at all the elite weightlifters doing crazy squats with no powerrack and no spotters.
