Hypertension at such a young age is usually secondary to some other problem
You have to check up on it

        >Idiot doctors dismissed concern and didn't take it seriously

Doctors suck. Go to a different Doctor. Look up online what could cause it in a young man to see if there is diet changes or things you can do at home.

Multiple family members of mine including me, have been almost killed or killed by incompetent doctors. Doctors let babies starve until they get brain damage because they haven't updated what is taught in schools to match the new discovered science of how much they need to eat. There is literally a charity that just teaches doctors the new science so they stop starving babies till they are brain damaged or dead. My point is doctors are entitled and think they know everything but they don't know shit about shit

If it was just one reading then it could be white coat hypertension or you had caffeine or exercised before the measurement.
Proper hypertension diagnosis should be done over several readings or ambulatory.
If it's definitely hypertension then you need more check up as it's very rare to have primary hypertension this young and sustained 180 systolic is too dangerous

At the medical a few weeks ago my BP was high but I had admittedly not slept well and had drank lots of coffee. However when I got it measured today, I had a good night's sleep and no caffeine. Still high. The doctors do seem to think it's white coat syndrome but I don't feel myself getting stressed about going to the doctor.

Probably should do ambulatory pressure measurement.
You'll put it on for a day or 2 and it'll measure it every now and then. Should give accurate results
            No hypertension, then congrats
If there is then it should be thoroughly investigated. You're too young
Watch out for severe headaches and blurring of vision until then

Electrolyte imbalance, probably too much caffeine or stimulants and tons of water but no electrolyte replenishment

Interesting anon. How do I best replace electrolytes?

Key nutrients is my favorite brand of electrolytes. Potassium is a hard to get electrolyte since supplements are illegal over 5% DV so you need high potassium foods like Swiss Chard or amaranth leaves. Whole eggs are another good source of electrolytes.

Original anon here. I use LMNT. Many in the fitness industry recommend it. Check out their site. I’ve used it and it’s great. I used to be in a similar situation. Super skinny and exercised and still had high Bp. I was drinking tons of water thinking that would fix it but it just made things worse. Turns out I was pissing all my electrolytes away. I also started eating more surgery foods because I couldn’t stop pissing and was dehydrated no matter what. The body loves sugar and will absorb sugary drinks and food more effectively. That in combination with electrolyte power fixed it up.

Could be white coat hypertension. Given that your diastolic is normal (although borderline) it is likely that stress / anxiety is causing your systolic to go high when checked.

I’d recommend doing home readings for 7 days, twice in the am and twice pm, to get an idea of how it really is outside of a medical setting

    fucking hell SwoleShack is retarded.
Anyways, your diet is not "good" if it can't even regulate your blood pressure. You need more calcium (milk, cheese, well cooked greens, powdered egg shells) and vitamin K (cheese, liver, well cooked greens)
